Date: November 2001 INTRODUCTION If there are any problems, or if any of the items listed below will not be available, it is important to contact us as soon as possible and at least two weeks prior to the event. If no contact is made, then we will assume that this rider will be fulfilled to specification. (Click here to view alternate sound rider) The following sound specification is detailed, but fairly simple. The emphasis throughout is on quality (e.g. no Peavey, Silvertone or "home-made" etc. equipment). As a guide, in Tampa, New Orleans, Atlanta, or New York City (which is a very expensive place to hire sound equipment) a system can be hired to Buck Hummer and the Pick-Ups specifications of sufficient power to adequately cover an audience of approximately 500 people for a cost of approximately $500. We attempt at all our performances to deliver a sound, which is as high quality as possible, and we rely on this contract to make sure that everything we need to accomplish this is available. GENERAL Buck Hummer and the Pick-Ups require a sound system of sufficient size for the venue. The system shall be capable of producing a clean, undistorted 'A' weighted sound performance level (SPL) of 85-90dB average, 98dB peak, as measured at the mix position, with a frequency response of 50hz-18Khz +/-3db. This is generally the SPL that Buck Hummer and the Pick Ups will perform at, and if this will cause problems, please let us know in advance. Quality is much more important than quantity, however, and a large sub bass component is not required. (Click here to view alternate sound rider) FLOOR MONITORS: Four wedge monitors with minimum 12" driver & 1" horn, 400w or greater each; four channels of amplification driven by 4-aux./FB pre fade console outputs. SNAKE: Minimum 24in, 8 return, long enough for venue, either center console or side stage location. |
